    Big Reno gun show?

Anyone go to the last show??? I'm thinking of making the drive from Sacramento area but not sure if it's worth it. wondering if anyone went to the last one if it even has higher end AR15 parts and good sells on bulk ammo there.

I would consider going if it wasn't the weekend before Thanksgiving (Think traffic) along with a huge storm coming in starting tonight (think flatlanders in the snow).

I've been once. going tomorrow. I like to tell people its probably just under twice the size of Cal expo, or Cow palace (for the nor cal people in here) with a bar in the center.

definitely better than a CA gun show at the very least. Totally worth the drive and money imho.

          I'll report back tomorrow!

It's fun to go to. You won't generally find any screaming deals, and with the weather being what it is, you may get killed by a dummy on the road.

Yeah I hadn't looked at weather till now. Definitely something to consider but it says Saturday sunny. I guess if the inventory and prices were a significant amount difference I would drive the two hours for savings and family day. But wondering if better to buy online with Black Friday sales coming up.

Bring chains for your tires. I was in Reno a few weeks ago and had to buy them. Ended up staying in Truckee at 130 a night

**** just saw the truckee weather report. Says snow in afternoon but who knows. Just wondering if The parts are actually going to be better than the last Sacramento show which was almost all Chinese AR parts, ammo was pricey(except .22lr) and no JP, Spike, LWRC ext

I'm going to sell an Arisaka that I asked about in the C&R section a few months back.

I was there today and it was the same as the show as it always is. It's a good size show with a huge breadth of gun and gun related stuff. I am always amazed at how diverse the offerings are.

There were several AR15 parts vendors as usual. I'm not in the market so I can't comment on the quality or lack thereof. Miwall was there as usual and they have pretty good prices but I'd just as soon buy it a little cheaper online and have UPS drop it at my door.

I go often because I live in Reno and it's a pleasant way of spending a few hours. I wouldn't go looking for generic parts and ammo. On the other hand, if you are into C&R stuff, there's plenty that you can buy and bring back to CA. For locals, there's some pretty competitive prices on new guns and magazines as well as a good variety (but pricey) of used modern guns.
Check back later for a witty comment.

I decided not to go. Thank you all for post and I'll keep a eye open on Black Friday sales this week.
