Amazon and ammo.

I work at an Amazon Fulfillment Center. Last night an accidental shipment of ammo arrived at our facility. About $1k of Speer Gold-dot .357 ammo accidently come in.

It is tragic. They send it off to the police to be destroyed. And I am sure they destroy it when they receive it.

er, don't need to be a FFL to receive/handle ammo.

They could have easily just rejected the shipment and have it sent back to the original vendor.

they take it out back to their range, load up, and blow the hell out of them, one round at a time

Mis-sent or not, it was out in our hazmat area. Our safety manager went and got it. And he called the Police to pick it up.

I wish I could have disposed of it for them. I could have even given them a receipt

Most, if not all departments do destroy ALL ammo they take in (except for any that ends up going into their forensics collection. They do not want the liability of releasing any. That said, there are only two ways ammo is normally destroyed. The first is shooting it and the second is having the bomb squad blow it up.
