Which 22lr ammo work for my conversion kits

    Hey all,
I been buying all the 22lr ammo for good deals I can find, just so I have something to shoot for cheap. Plus I keep all the expensive ammo for SHTF/HD/etc. I have a CZ 22lr conversion kit for my CZ-75b SA and going to buy a AR 22lr upper.

So I don't know much about 22lr ammo i bought, lack of experience. Some have HV, some have SV, value packs, and everything else in between. I'm wondering if I should have tested the ammo first, or can I expect my firearms to have no issues?

Basically, will suck if I bought 25k 22lr ammo and my guns only shoot 5k of it reliably. I know the answer is to just go out and shoot it, but I don't live near a range (45min) and it's not easy to get to it with a 3yo.

Any 22lr ammo connoisseurs out there??? Any 22lr ammo to look out for? Any to buy up quick? Any 22lr ammo that works well in a conversion kit?

My Kadet will reliably shoot most .22 ammo except the Golden Bullets.

1022, MKIII & 580 rem all shoot any thing, except for those few boxes of bad load from golden bullet I purchased, those were returned to manufacture.

Nothing says it works like shooting it though.

My 10/22 shoots anything, my Ruger series pistols are a little finicky with the Remington Golden hollow points, so I usually just run the round nose through them.

I have a tactical solutions upper. This is what they said regarding ammo:

There are several triggers that will work, as long as the hammer is rounded and the hammer spring is not to heavy it should function just fine, black dog mag’s are the only ones we can guarantee to work, Remington Golden and American eagle ammo are the only two rounds we do not recommend in the AR Uppers.

My Ceiner kit works well with Federal Auto Match, Winchester Xpert and Aguila SuperExtra using original Ceiner and Black Dog mags. Trigger/hammer is Rock River Arms NM two stage.

On any fresh semi-auto, always start with copper plated high velocity. CCI is the standard. After break-in, you can try other stuff and see what works.

Same here, exactly! This combo works.

I've only had CCI quiet not cycle, even Norma Match Quiet and Federal Supressed cycle reliably.

Winchester M-22 is what I've been running the most of.

Same, this wouldn't cycle in my 15-22. Damn quiet, though.
