I have seen prices going up a bit. The 150 pack of 5.56 at Walmart was 63.00 and now it's 69.00. The same 150 pack at Ammo Brothers is going for 90.00 and as you can imagine at that price, they had several boxes.

Midway has some .22 & they dropped the quantity limits recently. But as others said, 500 rounds isn't really a bulk order, that's just topping off.

i still think it's cheaper online because you still have to factor in parking (if not free) and entrance fee.

Gun show prices are *rarely* worth it. Lots of factors need to align: you were there anyway, it was a specific round tough to find online, you needed it that day, etc.

I buy online exclusively and I have orders held at UPS/FedEx to eliminate theft possibility.

9mm for $0.20/rd, 5.56/.223 for $0.30/rd including all costs except for my five mile drive to the UPS center. Brass, new, big brand. .22lr for under $0.07/rd for CCI, but most of that was purchased 3+ years ago (pre-Connecticut). All of this is ho-hum-average for fellow Internet ammo geeks.

Now, however, prices seem to be 10-20% higher due to election and law change fears. I'm doing a bit of dollar cost averaging but will pounce when the price drops.

Yes, the American Eagle ammo that comes in 150 count in that little green plastic box. I have seen the boxes with 120 and 150 count. I thought Walmart was a stretch at 69 but I saw the same ones for 90 at Ammo Brothers in Rancho 3 days ago. Always entertaining in that place. One customer was telling people that CA residents can do cash and carry purchases in Wyoming as they don't care.....wrong, and one of the sales folks was telling a customer that they had to register whatever AR they purchase as an AW next year so the guy left without purchasing anything.
