    What manufacturer.

I see all these different ammo manufacturers out there. I usually try to stay with the following.

    Winchester
    Remington
    Federal
    Blazer.

What are some other good reputable manufacturers of ammo.

Blazer is not a manufacturer. It is manufacturer by CCI and is only a brand name.

There are many reputable manufacturers. Too many too list.

There is lots of overseas ammo on the market, some of it rivals domestic manufacturers.
Lately I've been really impressed by
      PMC ammo from Korea.

Some are widely considered superior to most US manufactured ammo. Lapua, RWS, Elley, etc.

What caliber and brand name for the mfr.?

Some are good, others not so much.

The .22lr Geco I have used was good, same for Lapua.

Depends on the Caliber and usage. Fiocchi makes good stuff and of all the "cheap" 55gr FMJBT 223 I tried it and Hornady Steel Match have been the most consistent of the "cheap" ammo.
