I love ProForce. Great prices. Friendly associates. Great prices. Nice selection, and did I mention great prices?!

OH why am I cursed to have this ability to predict that every time I see word 'PROFORCE' in subject line, I can see someone complaining about their policy and the price?

You gotta love some of the whining posts about Proforce. Reminds me of 'price gougers' crowd after the election. Here's a suggestion. Instead of complaining, how about working in that field, get scrutinized by armchair commandos for every little action, and get spit on, shot at? Then you can probably get the same price.

As many said before, they probably have contract to sell only to LEO/EMT/MIL. It is true that FFL cannot refuse PPT request, but that law doesn't say anything about a shop's practice to limit their customers to LEO/EMT/MIL. (Before someone tries to argue about using ethnicity, please take a note that it is illegal, but having LEO/EMT/MIL only shop is not.)

And if someone wonders, no I'm not one of those people who can go in and buy guns either.

First stated was Law enforcement and military only. Then firefighters and emergency medical personnel. Then public safety people. The list is expanding.

You could wait out front and ask one of the nice officers to buy a pistol, then PPT across the street. Done deal.

They are a store who caters to public safety. Paramedics, EMT, Firemen can all shop there with ID. I am a fireman and I bought a Glock there last month. Frankly, I found it a delightful experience. Top notch folks there.

Elitists dont general care what the lesser folk think about them, I dont think complaining would make a a bit of difference to them.

If they let in just anyone, they would probably be selling stuff for MSRP or higher like most people are doing. You probably wouldn't want to go then.

I am actually planning on going over there next month and pick up a Glock and have heard nothing but great things. Looking forward to the experience.
This makes sense, thank you for your reasoned and level response.

See, I dont know if thats particulaly true.

A shop can limit the type of customer it services but as an FFL it has certian requirements placed upon them by the state as a condition of it license. I think it would be interesting to find out if the shop can deny the "lesser people" the service of conducting PPTs in the store. Not saying they have to sell anything to them, just provide the services that are required by state law.

I know that you are complaining about their practice. and probably is not one of the 'elitist' that you loathe.

I did visit both shops. I had a great time at proforce. The staff is friendly, informative and helpful. I made a few purchases and plan on making the majority of my buys there in the future. I had a non-leo with me and they didn't make a big deal of it.

I stopped at o.c. after going over my spending limit so I couldn't buy anything there. There was a good atmosphere there and they had a couple of nice people there. Their range seemed busy and I didn't get a chance to shoot...maybe next time.

Proforce is good to go in my book.

How is it elitist? You can also be a LEO/EMT/MIL. Just a matter of putting efforts to get the job.
