Need your help/input on DPMS/Remington R25
Hi All, I am in need of some help.. seems that 2-3 other friends of mine all want AR10's now that I and a friend are trying to piece together a couple armalites...here is my dilemma..
my friends trust my opinion and knowledge on firearms and there are 2 rifles that i THINK can be had for less than the crazy prices on Armalites...I told them to buy the Armalites built or they have to do their own parts hunting....
Can ANYONE tell me if Remington has a cali legal R25 available or if there is a way to buy it with upper/lower separate and then a bullet button installed?
Can anyone confirm that the DPMS AR10 rifle is banned in Cali? i know SOME models of DPMS are but not sure if DPMS is banned in totallity. DPMS are cheaper than Armalite,seem more available but i have heard of some horror stories also.
So can I please have some input on this issue? My friends have or atre going to have about $1500-1600 to spend on the rifle(s) and basically want them working....they can modify later. So I guess good used is ok but not sure what a used AR10 of any of the 3 'reasonably priced'-Armalite/DPMS/R25-should go for in this 'environment'/political panic buy spree.
BTW i know the R25 is made by DPMS..Heard that Remington bought DPMS also..????
