Zenith Z5RS arrived- Me Likey

Just picked her up today. Full cleaning & Tri-Rail handguard installed. Looking forward to getting it to the range for some break-in.

For some reason I just cant stop cycling the bolt & dry firing. Soooooo much goodness. Since I long ago maxed out my Man-Card, all the bonus points I'm accumulating from owning this thing will be available for free as a way to pay it forward to the forum.

My dad has one of these. He gave me his CZ Scorpion that he didn't like anymore, which I thought was crazy. The Scorpion is lighter, has aftermarket support that grows daily, the controls are more friendly, it has last shot hold open, etc. and is a factory gun, not a clone.

Then I shot his Zenith.

The CZ Scorpion looks like a Hi-Point in comparison. The Zenith may be the most fun gun I've ever shot. I also now really don't like the Scorpion all that much.

Yup, serious coin. I did find a site that sells the ATI (Korean) versions for $20 apiece. I've heard they're good quality, plus the gun comes with three. I'll spring for some HK's when the wifey isn't looking.

The Paki mags are just as good. The parts the gun is made from might be Paki. They make really nice 40 rounders too. Oops, irrelevant in Cali.

Gun was made in Turkey by MKE on H&K tooling, Paki guns are made by POF. I've read a buncha reviews that rate both very highly but give the MKE the edge in fit/finish.

I fiddled with the handstop location quite a bit, but the placement of the rear one lets you wrap your off-hand around the magwell & get a 'trigger' grip with your finger. Very comfy

The latest gen (4 I think?) korean mags I bought for plinking use on my mp5 have been working fine so far. they are def cheap looking and feeling, but they work.
