    Ammunition Supply Point in Vacaville

    Hey guys,

Planning to meet another Calgunner for a PPT at Ammunition Supply Point. I tried to call them, but they may be too busy this time of the day. Questions please:
    • Are they cool doing PPTs? I'll be sure to browse around in the store and pick up other stuff to make it worth their time.
    • Do they charge storage fees for guns not picked up after the 10th day? I go up in that direction on the weekends only. It's a 2 hour drive in good traffic for me, more during weekday rush hours I bet.
    • Do they let me take the accessories that come with the gun, extra slides or uppers, red dots, grips, extra magazines, etc. home or does the entire package have to stay until pick up time?

    Thanks in advance.

Have done many transfers there. Good people. Good store. Never heard of a fee after day 10 days. I have taken accessories with me after ppt while gun was on wait. Again, good store.

Did a PPT there with another CG'er - employee we dealt with was polite and knowledgeable - can't answer your other Q's.

I just did a PPT on a rifle there a few weeks ago they are GTG and the transaction was smooth. I can't remember if they charge a storage fee after a certain date.

I did a PPT there about year ago. They had their own extra form you had to fill out with personal info (like the DROS info)...WTF? Oh, and I didn't care for the staffer taking a personal call on his cell in the middle of our transaction.

That said, the staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable.

i have been doing business with them since they opened their first store.since they moved they have become less attentive and sometime unreliable.and yes i also do not care for part of the staff.the owners are great people and i do understand they get overwhelmed sometimes...

I like the pawn shop on west Texas street. Plus they have super cheap transfer costs for online purchases! Just Google them

I would just have the guy you are buying from only bring the gun into the store, put the accessories in your car prior. I've done this several times with no issue

I've done one with them and it went very smooth. It's good to call ahead though and let them know you want to come in. If it's later in the day they will ask that you try and get there as close to 5 as possible. I think they close at 7 but since there is a couple more forms to fill out they would rather do it then and not right at closing. They are a busy shop but very friendly and accommodating

Thanks for the pointers. If the seller is comfortable with meeting me outside the shop, that's what we'll do, but since we've never met before, both of us probably will feel better meeting inside.

How's the neighborhood? Safe for a clean cut guy?
