    Is Your Home Bulletproof?

Well this is something often discussed in firearms groups, survivalist and police circles.

Board houses will need some protection internally to stop bullets.
Yet log homes are the way forward for this, but will logs actually stop bullets?

Here are the results using logs of varying thicknesses!

The results are interesting to say the least. If you are using most types of softwood, there is a good chance of anything above .22LR blowing through single log thicknesses up to 10 inches. However, with hardwoods and larchwood the difference was astounding...

For those old-schoolers rocking a .38 Special. There's one for you too.

I would have these links embedded but the youtube tag isn't working alas.

You need some help with the u tube links....
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

I really don't care to have a bullet proof house.

To embed youtube links, only put the code in there - ex. Ad9UtEg3EQ4
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

Yup! And you know what. It was also a more civilized and peaceful time to live in too. People knew there would be hell to pay if they got out of line, and, if you messed with the police like many do today. You got an *** whooping and no one gave you any sympathy because everyone knew why you got that *** whooping.

Yup, liberals screw everything up with their "progressive ideas".

Anything larger than a match and it's not going to matter.

There was a company at SAR selling building materials that could be made bullet "resistant" I'll say. To do the whole house would be really expensive, the intent is to do a couple strategic walls or a safe room type of thing.

Cinder blocks with sand work from what I heard. But seriously, maybe do a panick room. Anything else is a little overkill.

Nope. My house isn't made from Ar500, or ceramic ballistic plates, or bullet proof glass windows. So Obviously its not bullet proof.
