In light of the new laws, if we were to make any rifles featureless, are we able to confirm that we are allowed to use standard magazine release buttons? I built a couple featureless rifles a couple of years ago and installed standard buttons, but I am not crystal clear on the upcoming year how it will play out.

There's one member here (ifilef) who thinks if it was ever a featured/BB'd gun then you'll have to register as an AW. Everyone else thinks that, as long as you convert to featureless by the end of this year, it's legal.Originally posted by CSACANNONEERA real live woman is more expensive than a fleshlight. How would they ever know it was a BBed firearm? In my case they wouldn't.It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.Comment

The letter of the law supports this ^^^ so it is the most likely outcome. The regulations are still on their way, so there is still opportunity for the state to try to pull something. No one can say with 100% certainty yet.Comment

A normal Rifle that has no Evil features does not require a bullet button.
I can say this with certainty.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).Comment

Featureless prohibitions will come under Governor Gavin. Get them while you can.Comment

Any semi automatic centerfire rifle that doesn't have evil features can use detachable magazines. In light of the new laws, if we were to make any rifles featureless, are we able to confirm that we are allowed to use standard magazine release buttons? An AR-15 that is built featureless is less of a 'purposely built AR-15 that gets to use detachable magazines' and more of a 'semi-automatic rifle that doesn't have evil features'. While the distinction is subtle I feel that reinforcing the idea that a featureless AR-15 is just another semi-automatic rifle similar to the Browning BAR, Remington 740 Woodsmaster, and Benelli R1 is important.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

the one BLM ranger I've run into didn't know that featureless ARs were a thing, but we convinced him that they were. We couldn't convince him that using >10rd mags in non-BB'd guns was legal though (but we weren't using them when he showed up).Originally posted by CSACANNONEERA real live woman is more expensive than a fleshlight. Very possibly. The next legislative session could see a new bill (or bills) designed to end featureless, and, post 2017, anyone who did not register will have missed the boat.

BS. They will open registration for the M1A, M1 Garand, Mini 14, etc. that will be included in the non evil feature centerfire detachable mag group of rifles.Comment
