    COE questions

I sent in my application August 4th, so it's been 2 months.
Should I be worried that it got "lost" by to postal service, or is this the usual wait time?
Haven't been able to find a phone number to call to check on the status of my application.
Does anyone know of a way to confirm they received the application and are in the process of reviewing it?

Although in previous years my wait was anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks this year it took almost 12 weeks. I'm told they're backlogged, IIRC my check was cashed 1st so look for that as a sign it was received.

Whatever you do don't send in an inquiry with another check

      They will cash it

      Ask me how I know

Just be patient, the renewal process is faster then the initial application

Did they cash your check? Call hem on their general line or email them. They'll get back to you within 24 hours or so. My initial app took 10 biz days. My COE renewal was lost and they sent me a new one after I called them.

This is my first application for a COE. I did the live scan and sent in the application 2 months ago.

Just got mine in the mail today (it was a renewal) - here's my timeline:

            Mailed the application: August 30th

            Checked cashed: September 14th

Received COE in the mail: October 7th

            Not too bad
