Blocking Mags

Is there a thread on how to block +10 round mags to make them legal for the new law?

I have considered rivet or spot weld a pin from side-to-side. Is that sufficient?

Can I do this for friends too, or is that regulated?

p.s., when I browse forums, I only see one page of threads and there is no next...?

I've used the Magblocks and they work well. Reasonably priced and easy to install. Or buy one and use it as a template to cut out others from plywood or MDF.

Go to the bottom left of the page and change the "Display Options" settings to a longer time frame.
That might do it.

Mag Blocks are great. I bought SSE guns and paid to have the mags blocked. They used quarter inch dowells ziptied the the spring.

Magblocks with a security screw through the baseplate. This way, you can disassemble when you go to NV and disassemble to clean or replace springs and/or followers.

Some use magblocks with no rivets, no epoxy, etc. Until there is a judgement saying otherwise, it is just as legal as anything else.

You can also go to home depot, buy delrin rod, and super glue a section of rod to the follower such that you can't load more than 10 rounds. This would allow you to disassemble your magazines for maintenance (just like with a mag block).

I have found a large number of FFLs and their employees are largely ignorant of CA gun laws. Not all, but a surprisingly large number of them.
