    Gun Genie question

So I was thinking of buying a revolver, and my local shop had exactly what I was looking for in stock. The price was significantly higher than the same shop had under the "Gun Genie" (Davidson's Gallery of Guns) offer.
I asked if they could meet their gun genie price and the reply was basically no. And furthermore, that if I ordered the revolver through gun genie they (the shop) would tack on another $125.00 for a "transfer fee".
I was under the impression that the Gun Genie prices were Pre-negotiated with the dealers and any fees were included (and are listed) in the quote.

Am I missing something here or is the dealer selling me B.S.

Sounds like you should take your business elsewhere.

If they are on the gun genie list they cannot inflate the price. Just for saying what th ed y did I would tell them to eat turd and never return.

correct, the final GG price is supposed to include all dealer fees and is your OTD price. IIRC, Davidsons wants to know if a dealer tries to tack on additional fees after the fact. they could even cancel the dealers access to GG.

the dealer already sets the "retail" price for the gun (makes a profit here) and then sets the "fees" which should cover DROS plus what ever other fee he wants to charge. to try to get an extra $125 as a transfer fee is just wrong.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I've ordered bunch from Davidson's. Price should be fixed. Where are you located and what store was this?

          I would go elsewhere.

Too bad you're not down here. I would have recommended good places for you.

I would call the store before ordering from Gun Genie to make sure they don't add fees. One of the stores down here charged me DROS on top of the final price so I cancelled and had them ship the gun back.

The price you order through Davidson's GG is supposed to be inclusive of everything.

There is an amount Davidson's collects when you ordered, to process and ship the gun. There is also an amount to be collected when you go do the DROS. If you pay everything upfront on the Davidson's site, there should be nothing due when you go to the shop, except maybe for DROS. All the shop does is act as the middleman for Davidson's.

I've bought three guns with gun genie and each time it was easy, quick and not additional fees. That $125 fee would cause me to laugh in the dude's face and skip all the way down the street to his competition.

GG shows a few numbers, only one of which really matters: Total. "Your Price" at the top is somewhat misleading and doesn't matter.

You can't just leave it like that. If that price doesn't matter, which on does?

As I said, Total is what matters.

Most of the GG dealers do not include DROS in the total price. It usually says so somewhere on the info section.

In my area there is only 1 dealer that includes DROS in the total price. Luckily for me, he is the closest too.
