    What a weekend!

    Saturday morning my new safe arrived!



    So, the Mrs. and I went to Sac Valley on Sunday for some range time. I finally got to shoot my new 10mm Kimber



    Which didn't go without some issues. Brand new and struggling with FTFeed. Did it with S&B, (new) Freedom Munitions and hand loads But it's brand new, and I've read there will be some teething troubles out to maybe 500 rounds.

    Expecting this situation I also brought one of my Sigs as a back-up



    My X5 struggles occasionally with light strikes, so I brought Federal/American Eagle and a sample from one of my LGSs in Galt.

    Couple hundred rounds through the X5 without a light hammer strike!

    All in all, not a bad day!

      Nice safe, nice Kimber, but I thought you're only supposed to use ball ammo for break-in periods, especially with 1911's. That's what I did with my Kimber TLE RL II and it was fine after about 50 rounds or so...


      I don't always save the world, but when I do, it's in 24 hours or less...

                  Most of it was "ball" ammo. Mine is a 10mm and the only HP was the small box of CorBon. It choked on everything, occasionally.

                                                  Looks like you will be looking for a new rifle.
                                                  Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

                                                          It's a GREAT set up at a GREAT price. I got it with the motion detector adn I have a safe that looks to be the same size as yours. It's REALLY nice to open it up and have the light turn on.
