              I didn't think it was a bee; more likely a wasp or Yellow Jacket. Bees are kind of soft, wasps & Yellow Jackets have a very hard exoskeleton. When they're crushed, it would be like bits of gravel & probably kept the bolt from fully closing.

                  Bingo. I just killed a wasp in my garage the other day. Had to stomp it multiple times on my concrete floor to stop it from moving. You can tell in the video its a long body of a wasp, not a bee.
