I saw on GunBroker / Apex you can buy a real Russian RPG7 with a fake Insert I'm ammuming this is Illegal in CA ?

The ones I could find are either for replicas or ATF spec'd demilled.

Replicas and ATF spec'd demilled are CA legal.

Non-ATF spec'd demilled (fully operational) RPG is a Title 2 Destructive Device.
In order to legally obtain it, you need BATFE and CA DOJ BOF approval.

Yep, I had a demilled rpg7 a few years ago.

The welded a metal rod in the pipe to keep you from loading a real round.

All the replica inserts iv seen were a lot shorter and did not go into the pipe deep enough to touch the metal rod.

It was all legal

i think sarco once had trainer rpgs that fired a 7.62x39 it was a "firearm" and had to be ffl anyone remember those?

I tried to order some of those to use with our foreign weapons RPGs package we had while I was on active duty but the S-4 got all bent. would have been good for training the advisor teams how to load and fire the RPG's, they just went through the motions with them
