I don't think it qualifies as covert with a pistol grip hanging out.

I buy pistol rugs on ebay for 4.99 each from china. They zip up and I can lock them with a luggage lock. But these oven mitts would do in a pinch I guess. If they had a zipper it would be even better.

put the pistol all the way in , i pulled them partially out just for illustration otherwise it would be a picture of oven mitts only, duh !
