Unable to transfer rifle to buyer

    Never expected this.

I met the buyer for my 10/22 at City Arms in Pacifica yesterday and was informed that they are not doing transfers on any long guns at this time because of so many people selling firearms causing them to run out of storage space in their safe.Seems a lot of people are dumping their guns ahead of the new laws.

Because of time constraints, we had to agree to look for another transfer dealer and reschedule the transaction.

Has anyone else run into this?

No from Dumping but from buying!! A few local FFLs have even sent me home with the long gun boxes etc as they just do not have the room.

Yeah, everyone just about has safe capacity issues at the moment. Signs on doors, refusing ppts, late pickup fees, not storing boxes/cases - all normal at the moment

My local shop looks like an episode of "Extreme Hoarders" could have been shot there. I practically had to climb over boxes of rifles and lowers to get through the door.

Although I realize this is about firearm/safe storage at the moment, I suspect that if/when Prop 63 passes the same may be true of ammo acceptance.

On the FFL forum they were discussing this subject and one of the vendors in AZ is offering CA FFL rented safe space.

I fear it will get worse state wide.

I know that Turners has straight up suspended any FFL transfer service if the gun doesn't come directly from their store due to " capacity issues". They gave no eta on when or if it would resume.

I've had that happen several times.

hmm that doesn't seem like a defense to their mandate to provide ppt

                          report them
