Good Reno Gun Stores

I am moving out of California in less than a month. I am wondering what the best gun stores are that people have dealt with in the Reno Area. I have only been to the larger stores, Cabela's, Scheels and Sportsmans Warehouse.
Does anyone else have any experience with any of the other stores in the area?

Juggernaut Arms in Sparks has, by far, the best prices on guns and is my go to store for new guns or transfers. Bizarre Guns is small but has a pretty large inventory. I go in Wiley Brothers on a pretty regular basis looking for used guns as they have a pretty good selection. Reno Gun Range has a nice shooting range and a very large retail store.

I would say that they're all good. They all sell things you can't get here.

You can't legislate safety, or force people to make good ethical decisions. People need legal and "easy" avenues in protecting themselves when they transfer or sell a firearm. That doesn't mean more laws, what it should be are free (OPTIONAL)background checks on private transfers, and incentivize dealers to handle these by giving a background credit on behalf of the buyer since we are charged $25 everytime we call one in. You see? Policy that makes sense, not more laws that don't.

Against Question 1, but in favor of UBC, I guess.

Wish I knew that about Juggernaut a few weeks ago otherwise I wouldn't have visited their store. I was in town and bought some stuff there. I was talking to the two younger guys in front (forget their names, but it wasn't Greg) and was asking about question 1.

I was telling them that dealers that support question 1 are mostly mistaken that handling private party transfers will gain them an desirable amount of new business activity; they will only achieve adding a new burden of having new non paying customers conducting private party transfers on their premises. And that this was the lesson from California's experiment with requiring the FFL to facilitate the PPT starting in 1991.

They didn't mention Juggernaut was pro universal background checks. And they didn't say anything when I went on my mini rant about California PPT, I guess they didn't want to upset me. But one of the guys did tell me that they were told they will need to collect sales taxes on the private party transfers if question 1 passes. I thought that meant they were agreeing with me. oh well, another store added to my do not patronize list.

For the moment, UBC is far less of a burden on Nevada FFLs than in California, since there is no waiting period and thus no need to securely store the guns.

But don't think the grabbers aren't going to try for that next. Stuff like UBC is the camel's nose in the tent, and that's perhaps the most important reason "reasonable" gun controls need to be resisted.

There's an excellent post on Nevada Shooters by the owner (or manager) of New Frontier Armory in Vegas explaining how there exists no mechanism today to even put Question 1 into force, should it pass, due to the way background checks for new purchases are now handled in Nevada. This is what happens when people in one state approve a law that was drafted by astroturf carpetbaggers who live 3,000 miles away and know nothing about your state.
