    Cow palace gun show question

I know the gun show sucks at the cow palace, but, for those who went earlier this month I beleive did you see any complete uppers for sale? And if so were they decent prices or not worth it?

Just remember, "gun show" really means "beef jerky".

All you have to do is look for a beef jerky show!
Anyway...here's a dearth of reasoning to ponder: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Guns

Complete uppers were everywhere, lots of them. Prices seemed okay, but I didn't pay too much attention to them since I'm not in the market for one.

You are forgetting about the Samurai sword booth! I remember seeing it almost 20 years ago at the Cow Palace Beef Jerky Show and they are there every show!

Just build one.....no wizzards or pixie dust needed.........there is no magic required to tighten a barrel nut.

Buy quality parts and it will go smooth.

I wish I had the space in my tiny apartment for a workbench and some tools. Thanks folks for your input. If I cant find an upper I will just get some beef jerky and swords to cut it with!!

There's always several tables selling complete uppers. There's good deals on uppers with unknown parts brands, so it is a roll of the dice. I rolled the dice on a complete AR pistol upper with BCG for well under $300 and it has been great, but if it had immediately failed a "you should have known better" would have been appropriate.

Is there a guy at the Cow Palace selling $250 Palmetto uppers for $600?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Most of the uppers I saw at the cow palace show were all Chinese made,

Depending on where exactly you are I might be willing to let you use some of my tools. I think I need to grab a new vise block but have a vise, torque wrench, armorer's tool.

Alternatively, you don't need much space to store the tools needed and they can be very useful to have.
