My only hope is that is where the gun is going.
It was a very lightly used piece and I had second thoughts about letting it go.
The shop owner and I had some laughs on it but I felt it was the right thing to do.

As for kids...can't keep em, can't bury em in the back yard. Honestly, kids have no clue what will be important to them when they get older. I remember when I was a kid my dad gave me two models (F-86 Sabre and a Fokker Tri-plane) that he had tied up close to 100+ hours in each building.

Me being the stupid kid took one and flew it off the our 3rd story balcony when I was 11. The other I poured lighter fluid on, lit on fire and pretended it had been hit with a machine gun and crashed it off the same three story balcony.

Now I would give just about anything to have those two models back just because of the time and effort my dad put into them and gave them to me to show his love.

Long story short, the kids will eventually appreciate your gesture.
