Question for potential new resident

I've tried to do alot of reading on the CA gun laws and I want to get my guns in order before I move to CA.

I am looking at getting a Ruger 9E http://www.ruger.com/products/9E/models.html

among others that im looking at.

I know the Ruger 9E is not on the CA list to buy once im a CA resident, but am I able to bring it in when I move in as a new resident?

I am very confused with the laws about bringing non-list guns in. IF it is possible to bring in guns (handguns specifically) on the CA list, what are some others that I could look at purchasing?

yes you can bring it here, and even sell it once you become a resident if you decide you dont like it
