"USPSA Shooter, 3-Gunner, and NRA-certified firearms instructor Jason Falconer has been identified as the man who shot and killed a 22-year-old Somali immigrant who went on a stabbing rampage inside a St. Cloud, (MN) Mall on Saturday.

The apparent terrorist—who apparently asked victims if they were Muslims before stabbing them—was engaged by Falconer inside the mall.

Falconer is the president and owner of Tactical Advantage LLC, a shooting range and tactical training facility with a strong focus on arming concealed carriers. He’s also a former chief of the Albany (MN) police department, and he remains a part-time officer.

But Falconer has consistently been identified in the mainstream mediaonly as as a “former police chief” and “off-duty police officer.”

Yep, they (media) don't want this guy's sporting gun bonifieds and dedication to instructing civilians to reach the light of day. So they will just call him 'off duty officer' because they want the public to believe that cops are the only ones who should be allowed to carry in public, and the only ones who could have stopped this guy.

I don't know how you could find the time to own and operate a shooting range and training facility AND be a "part time" officer. I suspect that he's a reserve?

I'll wait to see but IF that IS the case....the fact that, a CCW permit holder stopped a TERRORIST attack is HUGE and it's our responsibility to spread that news.

Considering it's from the Communist News Network, it's probably the best we can hope for. Curiously omitted from the paragraph regarding his training company is that he also trains civilians for concealed carry permits - note that it says "[h]e's considered an expert in firearms training and education and has helped teach classes on law enforcement skills at St. Cloud State University for nine years..." (emphasis mine). While this is not factually incorrect, and it's taken straight from his website bio page, it's still deceptive because the business he's in is civilian CCW/marksmanship training. It looks like his mentioning of his law enforcement background is strictly for establishing credibility with his non-LEO customer base.

Watching the news on channel 9 last night, They just flat out lied and said he was "killed by police". Really pisses me off. Might as well just call the media Pravda and get it over with.
