    Springfield EMP 2017?

Does anybody know if the Springfield EMP 9mm will still be available in 2017?
I have been eyeballing this puppy for a few months and getting the itch to buy but just can't "pull the trigger"

    Who knows.

If you like it, buy it. I like mine, even though I've only shot it twice since I bought it new a long time ago.

      Yup... no way of knowing.

All it takes is for Kamala to decide that the argon they used as a shielding gas came from a different mine so they have to resubmit for certification in 2017. Bye bye EMP, just like the RIA Tactical has already been delisted because of the change in rollmarks.

DOJ is not and never has followed the law, why should they start now?

Older models will still be on the roster. The new models no longer have the ILS and although they have the same SKU, they are now shipping in the "Not Legal in California" box.
        **** your feelings!

Nicely said, maybe the gasses will come from a more friendly and safer place that won't hurt ourselves.

ILS? I didn't know it had it. I have a three-digit serial model and it doesn't have it.

Just did a search on the ILS. Interesting that such a minimal part will keep it from going on the register next year. I hope that's not the case.

That's what I was referring to.

The law is written to accept guns that are functionally identical to guns already on the roster.

DOJ has not been following that, which is why we have the all-black XD45 on the roster but the 2-tone models are not, even though they are 100% identical in all aspects except for color.

If you have the cash buy it, it will hold its value if you decide to sell it or trade it later down the road.I love mine, one of my best guns for sure.
