    AR15 End Plate thickness

Im looking for some input on variations thickness of end plates. I have 2 non-QD plates and 1 measures .118" and other measures .123" . I'm looking for a slightly thicker end plate non-QD preferred about .160" . Does anybody make this size or about that size or a little larger?

I don't have an answer but am curious about the reason!

Available material thicknesses would be .125 (1/8th) or .156 (5/32) from common stock. If 1/8 gets the job done chances of finding a thicker one might be challenging. They may be out there, I'm just saying 1/8th is so common and cheaper that I would guess few would spec something thicker.

From my research the Griffin Armament C2E QD endplate has thickness advertised as .166" (roughly that 5/32). There not in stock anywhere I've looked. The Fortis QD end plate seems thicker but cannot verify thickness. There's also the IWC QD end plate that's thicker they claim, but will not work for me at the QD portion is not flush with the end plate.

Maybe stack 2 with a little grinding work for clearance?

I was just thinking if you could double up on it.

Double stack is too thick of an option. If someone has a Fortis QD end plate, would be greatly appreciated if they could chime in on a thickness. Looks like this is my best and cleanest option for me. I really only need about .020"-.030" more than a standard endplate
