    What ammo do you keep in your guns?

    Just cerious what guns people keep loaded at all times, and with what ammo, and why.
    As for me, I keep all my guns ready to role ( exept for revolvers, which I don't have any of at the moment ) because you never know for sure which you will need in what situation, although I generally keep my rifles reserved for long range stuff, such as if the 1 in a million situation erose where a nabors kid were being hauled off with a kidnapper or some bizare thing like that. My actual choice for home defense is my Colt T-22.

    * .22 Magnum MAS 1935-A............Not yet functional.

    * Colt T-22.............CCI Velocitors ( highley potent for their caliber.

    * Bulgarian Makarov...............Silver Bear JHP ( only ammo I ever bought for the gun.

    * Beretta M-92F Inox............Cor Bon 125gr JHP ( low penatration and getting hit by one is like getting hit by a cannon ball.

    * Desert Eagle MARK VII .44 Magnum......Miwall 240gr JHP ( most reliable and consistant ammo I can find, and low in penatration.

    * SKS...........Remington JSP ( it's that or ball ammo, and I have no desire to further invest in quality ammo for a gun I am trying to sell.

    * Enfield No.4...........Remington JSP ( versatile ammo )

    * M-1 Carbine...........Winchester 110gr FMJ ( the only ammo I have for it at the moment.

    * Mossberg 500..........Federal Heavy Load No.6 ( highley potent at short range and won't overpenatrate.

        House rifle uses winchester q3131a bullets, shotgun # 1 buckshot, swmbo's model 28 uses 158gr hollow points loaded to around 1500 fps.

          I don't keep the SAW's, AT-4's, Dragons, SMAWS, Uzis, Mini-Guns, M16's, 81 mm Mortars or M2 Brownings loaded because i don't own any of those either.

          The loaded 45 acp pistols I have for personal defense are stocked with black talons...the 9mm contains hydrashoks or corbons and the 40 is loaded with STHPs.

              I don't keep any of my 1911's loaded. that'd be way to dangerous. Heck, they might jump up off the table and shoot someone!

              If I did keep them loaded, it would be with WW Ranger T or Gold Dot.

                Only 2 loaded firearms at a time in this house. The pistol that is nearby, if a 9P is loaded with CorBon 115, if a 45acp is loaded with Rem 230 Golden Sabre. The remaining gun is a Mossberg 590A1 18" next to the bed stuffed with Fed Tactical 00 Buck. This is after all Walnut Creek and almost nothing ever happens here. I don't even get trick or treaters much. I cannot conceive of an occasion where I would need a rifle at all, much less in a hurry. We have diligent PD guys, an alarm system and two very vocal dogs in a neighborhood that is dead asleep by 10 pm except for myself.

                              When at my home, currently using a 1991A1 Colt loaded with 230gr hydra shok, 2 spare mags also. Also have handy a Taurus 85ch with 158gr LSWHP+P or 110gr standard pressure Win silvertips if I expect my sister will want to use it. Also have a 950bs 25acp Beretta with ball but I usually don't load that one.

                              Sometimes I'll keep around a 20gauge Mossberg loaded with Win AA trap loads for the first couple to fire and the rest #3 buck or a 12 gauge with the same Win trap loads and #1 Buck to finish.

                              Sometimes will keep a Taurus 82 or S&W 14 6" with the lead hollowpoints instead of the Government model. Been known to use a Makarov also with 95 grain Barnual hollowpoints or Fiocchi hollowpoints.

                              Really don't usually feel the need for a defensive rifle but in the extreme unlikelyhood of a repeat of the N. Hollywood bank shootout(I do live next to a couple of banks) if the bad guys decided to try to take cover in my home a SKS, Mosin Nagant, Mauser or M1 carbine variant with ball ammo may be pressed into service.

                              I sometimes stay at my dads home on weekends and when doing so use a Ruger P95dc loaded with 115gr 9mm +P Remington JHP's.
