Goodland Guns

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to give a local gun shop, and the guys that run it, some kudos. Paul and the rest of the guys at Goodland Guns in Goleta, California are very knowledgeable and treat their customers right.

I've done a PPT, 3 on-line sale transfers and purchased an MP Shield from them. Each transaction was a breeze. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an FFL or gunsmith on the Central Coast.

I've eaten at the Wendy's directly across the street from them, and always said I should go in and check it out. Damn work taking up all my time!

I keep telling myself the same thing. If anything I need yet another safe but here I am with another pistol (CZ) in jail.

I'd personally use that $4 and goto the Habit which is just down the street from Wendy's.

I don't think I've ever been to habit ever. Wendy's is cheap and very filing for $4. I also know i can go in at 11am and be done with a leisurely lunch at 11:20. Can't always say that for in n out, 5 guys, or fatburger.

To keep things on topic; i have been referred to goodland guns in the past when asking for a Santa Barbara gun shop for PPTs. Seems they've built a good reputation for themselves.

Done a lot of business with them. Good guys. I thought Dan was the owner... I don't think I have met Paul, but I haven't been there since they moved across the street.

You wont get out of the Habit for only $4 unless all you buy is a coke, $9.43 Charbuger with Cheese and Bacon, fries and soda, tax, out the door. I might go there once in a while

I have bought 2 guns from Dan at Goodlands plus done 2 PPT's there, always great service, good gun selection too. He was the only store in town willing to order my rifle, the other stores were not willing, so Dan got a customer for life. Light on the reloading stuff and blackpowder stuff but its a gun store not a reloading store.

Last 2 guns I bought were from Far West on State St. new owner has really cleaned up the place and while they are extra light on reloading stuff, they at least have some Blackpowder stuff. First gun I only bought because he had exactly what I wanted and second was a impulse buy on the 10 day pick up day of the first one. As long as we are mixing food and guns, I recommend the Pastrami Omelette at Garrets on the corner next to Far West

Best Blackpowder selection is at Dodge city and also good reloading selection but high prices compared to L.A. stores, I go in there because sometimes its nice to get what you need "today" instead of waiting until I can drive to L.A. or have it shipped. And I can walk there from home. No food nearby

Goodland is my goto place since I work nearby and I end up at the Habit at least once a week.

True on the food, but the liquor store next door has a fine selection of beer and wine!
