    Raahagues in corona

I have never been there and was considering paying a visit. Anyone frequent this place and how is it for rifles and handguns?

    Thanks

      It's a great range.
Like getting a private range at Burro, but a little cheaper, only 2 hours, and no 6-month wait.

They have two 100 yard ranges, the rest are all in the 75 yard range, so it's okay for rifle, but awesome for handgun.
No steel restrictions like Burro, but no glass or electronics, and I don't think they allow fruit/melons.

I'm going there for the first time this Saturday and i have a couple questions.

Is there tables/chairs are provided in the range or do I bring my own?

Is their a shade like canopy?

What's a good time to go on a weekend?

Private bay or 100 yard rifle or steel pistol range?

Spend the money you would get gouged from their entrance fee into your gas tank. Have fun in BLM land where you have no pesky rules.

Each bay should have some sort of wooden table/plastic chair. But I would bring a chair just in case.

No. Bring a boonie hat & sunscreen.

How about never? Long lines, 2 hours limit strictly enforced. Consider the amount of time it takes to set up targets, unload your gears, load the mags, and clean up, you will get 1.5 hours at most.

There is a shelter area, but not on the firing line. Remember, you only get the range for 2 hours so any time spent with pop-ups is time not spent shooting.
They do have folding tables available, no chairs other than the long picnic tables in the shelter area.

Get there early to get in line. The bays are first-come-first-served.
If nobody is waiting, they aren't sticklers on the 2 hours.

This isn't like your typical outdoor range with a long bench and scheduled range breaks.
It's more like going out to the desert with your buds but you don't have to clean up the mess.

Private range and I'm assuming we bring our own targets?

I read the 2hr limit and you're correct setup and loading.... By the time you're done you've burned up good shooting time. I think I'll just go to BLM land... Cheaper and no lines

                      Thank you

They have targets available, but yes, it's better, and cheaper to bring your own.

It's actually pretty good if you can get out there on a weekday. Most times, I've stayed well over the 2 hour limit because there wasn't anybody else waiting. Plus you can shoot steel targets, always a plus.
