OK - I have a nagant with a bayonet. My *fantasy* is to get some clear plastic hooks to hang it from on my wall so I can actually look at it. Anyone done anything like this and still been 'safe'?

I'm thinking I could put bolts into the studs and somehow lock the rifle on the wall - any ideas? Am I nuts? How about just removing the bolt?

Solid plexiglass case bolted to the studs with a locking front panel maybe?
