Unusual and rare weapon for this use

Makes no sense. There are STG's out there but, stocks of 7.9X33mm ammo? Puzzling.

I'm sure there's pallets and pallets and pallets of old ammo stashed away in Russia for every caliber on earth

Wow what a score. What's up with them talking about a snack bar?

During the Cold War, the Warsaw Pact donated almost all of the surplus StG-44 they had to socialist movements in the Middle East and Africa.

Prvi Partizan (Yugoslavia/Serbia) never stopped making 7.92x33mm ammo.
They initially made it for the Germans, then continue to make it for the Warsaw Pact. After the Warsaw Pact fell, they continue to make if for the commercial market.

          AFAIK, post-WW2 Gov/Mil/LE usage...
Argentina and Czechoslovakia used the StG-44 up until the late-1950s. They stopped ammo production in the late-1950s.
East Germany used the StG-44 up until the mid-1960s. They stopped ammo production in late-1960s.
Yugoslavia used the StG-44 up until the 1980s. They never stopped ammo production.

            Wow

Had no idea it was(the ammo) commercially available on such a mass scale.
Thanks for making me, slightly, less ignorant.

Ya. My dad buys the prvi partizan from miwall at the gun shows and online. He has a legitimate sturmghewher in AZ. Thing is sweet.

Only thing that is crazy is the magazines. They range up to $500 bucks a pop for just 1 real one and are hard to come by.
