Looking for reasonable FFL in Sonoma/Marin County

    I've done the GunBroker thing.

I've used Neil at the dairy farm out in Two Rock. Nice guy. Charged 55 total (DROS included). But doesn't want to do any OLL stuff. I'll probably end up using him again.

Talked to AJ the plumber. Nice guy on the phone. Wants 50 bucks per item + 25 DROS. Also wants to collect tax.

Northbay Firearms (Montana Hawk) wants $175. Not sure if that includes DROS or not...don't care...no point in continuing the conversation with them. Guys that work there are ininformed about gun law, rude, and the shop is full of crack smokin' high prices. How this place stays in business I have no clue. Probably because there are no other indoor ranges north of Marin.

Dealt once with some clown out by Guerneville. Guy was an idiot. Avoid.

So who do you guys in the Sonoma/Marin County area use?

If you don't want to post here please PM me. Share the wealth with another calgunner. The numbers of 2nd Ammendment types in liberal Sonoma County are few...so let's help each other out.

I would check out Bullseye in San Rafael (just convenient for me as my family lives in Marin.)

I did a transfer at High Bridge in San Francisco, it was about $70 for everything, including a BFSC.

+1 to Bullseye, I seriously doubt that it was 125 for a transfer. They are good guys there.

AJ does seem like a cool, straightforward guy on the phone.

Hmm, I'll ask Bill next time I see him. That sounds unreasonably high so I'll double check .

Well the Guerneville clown is a pretty nice guy. He runs it out of his home and is easy to deal with. If you know what goes on and take your time it is worth the effort. You want to see a FFL happy to do a internet DROS then plan on paying out our a**. But I would rather visit and talk guns while doing a DROS and pay ONLY $10 + state fees. If you think he is a clown I don't know who is laughing. You can always go to Helm's Gun in Santa Rosa, but I think they don't even like doing their own DROS. I have two FFLs that will do the paperwork for just $10 and seeing you don't like one you may not like the other one either. Lots of luck to you, you need it.

I also have done business with the guy in Guerneville late in Dec. I have to say a nice older fella, works out of the house, and VERY reasonable fees

Although he really didnt want to do my AK receivers, I would make the drive for a internet transfer.

How can I get a hold of AJ and where is he located?

I am having a hard time finding an FFL that will do OLL transactions in my area (sonoma county). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Also interested in how to get ahold of AJ, as I just moved to the area and would like to transfer a couple of firearms my father has back home.

Get a hold of member golden gun, he's a local ffl or Rinkor Arms on Mendocino Ave in Santa Rosa.
