I live in a part of Riverside that historically has been Red. The main reason we moved here is because of that history and its quieter, safer environment with many retired officers from nearby March (now March ARB).

On just one day alone (Friday) I found myself driving behind three different vehicles with Democrat supporting decals, 2 Hillary and 1 Bernie.

I've known for some time that all of my immediate neighbors except for one are at least indifferent, if not outright anti-gun.

I know. "Cool story bro." Just sharing about my misery.

To me that is not hard to believe, afterall most gun crimes are committed by democrats. However, what is sad is the number of democrats masquerading as pro 2A. That is simply not possible.

There used to be such a thing as conservative Democrats. Remember the term "Roosevelt Democrat"? My folks used to call themselves Truman Democrats. Heck, look at one of the left's favorite martyrs, JFK, and his position on guns (and NRA membership). The beliefs that will get you labeled a right-leaning Demo nowadays would considered to the far left even 30 years ago.

While counting bumper stickers don't forget conservatives tend to not put their beliefs on a billboard. Being reserved in general is part of it, but also any display of variation from approved socialist doctrine will likely result in getting your car keyed or other physical attacks from the peace-love-dope party.



So it's a reserve base now; still get a decent amount of traffic? I love airplane noise.

I'm a little off the flight path, but being six miles from the air strip still gets me the occasional pass from some C17's and other craft. Before moving, I lived two miles from the opposite end of the air strip. Could hear Reveille, Retreat, and Taps too. Actually miss that.
