Maybe the dumb *** shouldn't have let a nine year old fire a Uzi. The instructor needs to have control over the range at all times. He let someone handle a gun that a nine year old shouldn't have and it cost him his life."

of America got their first gun lessons from dad, an older brother, an uncle or a grandpa firing a 22 rim-fire rifle.
Whether an Uzi is a suitable gun for a young boy's first shooting lesson is questionable. I would probably have him first master a 38-special revolver before graduating to self-loading pistol training.
The revolver due its heavy trigger pull, slow, controlled rate of fire, and its ability by design to rest the hammer over an empty chamber for safe carry is inherently much less dangerous as compared with a sensitive, touchy-trigger auto-loading handgun for beginners to learn"
