Darn OP, makes me remember when the rancher behind my house (barbed wire fence between his land and my backyard) cut his alfalfa and turned the horses and cattle loose to graze. Deer would come out of the hills too.
When I mowed the backyard, the cattle knew they were going to get fresh cut grass clippings and they'd line the fence waiting for me to empty the lawnmower basket. Old celery, lettuce, nothing tossed over the fence they wouldn't eat.
Now it's all houses. Houses and houses.
