    22 LR Rifle

    What's a good 22 LR rifle I should get?
I have a M&P 15 Sport II (5.56), but want to get a rifle, rather than a conversion kit. I'm not sure what to get, what price to expect to pay, etc... I heard the Ruger 10/22 is good, anything else good? What prices should I expect?

Ruger 10/22 has always been my go-to, although the Marlin 60 is a pretty sweet gun too

10/22 is good with a huge aftermarket. $200 on sale.

M&P 15-22 is a lot of fun, $400 and up.

10/22 has a lot of aftermarket support.

What price should I expect to pay for a new 10/22? What price for a used one?

If you can, grab a Sears, Roebuck and Co. .22lr! Heres mine by Winchester

If you want a good .22lr- CZ is your best bet.

As mentioned, why not the 15-22? You can swap a lot of parts/accessories back and forth.

Ruger 10/22 or Marlin 60 would be my choice------Oh wait I have both and so does my daughter and my grand-daughter has a Chipmunk(she is only 1 now) and a Marlin 60 for when she is ready.

These 2 will probably get less attention from the gun-banner's than an AR look alike. ..........Just something to consider and after all they are just 22RF

Henry Lever Action is my favorite .22, wouldn't trade it for any other.

For the fun factor, get a Henry Lever.

You can find nice used 22's. I recently picked up a mint Marlin Model 60 Glenfield with the Glenfield scope from a garage sale for $50. I also found a near new 1970 10/22 at a pawn shop for $100.

I have a newer 10/22 takedown and two modified Marlin 795's. The Marlins are more accurate out of the box.

My favorite is my CZ 452 Ultra Lux. The finish for a .22 is incredible.

Which Ruger 10/22 Models are legal in California?

What price do they range from?
