Flying from WA to CA for Work Trip - Will Work Know?

I have a glock 26, gen 3, 9mm with a 10 round mag that I bought and registered in CA about 3-4 years ago. I have moved to WA since then and I fly to CA every month or so for work.

I work at a pretty liberal company and wouldn't want anyone knowing that I travel with a firearm. Since work is paying for the flight, will they be informed or billed for me traveling with a firearm? Are there third party services that ship from SEA to LAX or BUR airports?

Can ship to yourself, or just put in checked bag. Work shouldn't be able to find out its checked.

Shipping it wont work for me since I stay at a hotel and I wouldn't trust them to hold it.

I know I can check it, but the airline is at least going to put that info into a database somewhere. I just want to make sure work wont have access to that info. It could show up as a tax or a fee. Gun owners privacy rights dont really exist in CA.

        No

        No
Unless you put it in a separate bag and then check it and work asks you why you checked a second AND YOU TELL THEM, there is nothing that ties you traveling with a gun.
        I usually;
1 Use a small or medium locking metal case with a cable
2 Cable the case to the inside frame of the bag
3 Put ammunition in the original box in the same case as the gun
4 Put extra empty magazines ect. in the same case
5 Get a declaration of unloaded firearm from the check in counter
6 Jump through whatever hoops the particular airport has for inspection.

Let yourself have an extra 45-60 minutes for the process.
Some airports TSA will open the bag but not the case and swab it for explosives, I figure they are bent because they don't know what else to do. Sacramento and Wenatchee are pretty cool, San Antonio and Denver suck.

Also say no. Ships manifest will show you have a firearm. Won't show up on ticket or invoice. Keep your mouth shut.

            Color me confused.

You can't legally carry your gun in CA. The only place you can legally have your gun loaded is in your motel room with you. All other times it must be unloaded and locked up.

What's the point in going through all this trouble when you will only have it while your sleeping? Satistically the upscale motels and hotels have been pretty safe.

If your liberal co is booking you into a Motel 6 quite and find a new job.
