    Glock and sights tool

    Hello All,

Was hoping someone can shed some light pertaining Glock tools for sight removal and installation. I am looking for a tool that would press remove the old sights off a Glock 19 and reinstall some new sights. i have seen multiple tools online through search engines on the web that range in price from cheap to expensive. question i have is, would you recommend a brand tool over another brand? Or do you know anyone in the high desert that does sight removal and replacement?

    Thank you
    Ron

He's a kitchen table FFL, not sure if he does smithing, but Glock sights are very simple to change.
If not, he's in touch with the community up there and would be able to recommend a good guy.

As easy as they are to change, unless you have a BUNCH of guns, it's not really worth it to buy the tools.

If you're going to be near LA anytime I have the Glock sight tool and can help you change your sights for free.

Maryland Gun Works (MGW) sight pusher works really well, about $100.
You can remove and replace rear sights with a brass punch and mallet, but the sight pusher is the way to go.

i invested in the mgw sight pro and most of shoes for it cost about 500 so far,but works great ..

                but i am a smith' ..

i recommend you find one near you and just save yourself the headache of damage by having someone do the work with experience

I went down this road not long ago but decided against buying the tool as I most likely would not use it enough to justify the cost.

Instead I sent me slides and sights to XDMan.com and had James do the work for me total cost for two slides was 54.00 plus shipping and I had my slides back in exactly one week. If you use him make sure you read the page on his website regarding shipping as he has very specific directions along with the shipping address and if you follow his directions you will be more than pleased.
