Hey everyone. i have started my collection of firearms (history guns) for the past couple years. I say History because i am mostly into guns with significant history attraction.
i started with the guns of the west with a Colt 45, then a Henry repeating rifle, and beginning of this year i got a Winchester 97' replica (cant afford the real thing).
i have now moved on to the World Wars Era and got a Auto Ordnance 1911 pistol G.I. specs and the Thompson (tommy gun) semi auto.
with the new gun laws that passed and go effective on January of 2017, im kinda freaking out on whats going to happen or what i need to do with my tommy gun that i just purchased.???
Since it has the Grip under the receiver i have to register it as an Assault rife, but if i do what are the chances that they will TAKE IT AWAY?? also since i am buying it before the law goes in effect, am i allowed to keep the gun AS IS? not modify it like change the bullet button, grips, stock, etc??
any help or feed back would really help me sleep at night!
new firearm enthusiast and hopefully would like to keep it that way and not break any laws!
