Maybe they are better hidden now. A buddy has a rack in the ceiling of his Tacoma. Holds a few AR's. The dark tint makes it impossible to see unless oyu were specifically looking up at the ceiling from outside the truck.

Still common around here for farmers, ranchers, and during hunting season.

But I hear you, at my high school in suburban so cal in the late '70s, every pickup in the student parking lot had a 10/22 or a Mossberg 500 in the back window.

I have wanted for a while now a vinyl sticky of a few guns to put up on my trucks back window, no guns but done right it would look like a real gun to the anti's. My wife says its a bad idea

[packnrat]

yes that is a bad deal.

just having a pro gun sticker on your cage can invite trouble.
extra eyes on you for theft?, some anti police watching you.. a bit more closely? no warning on a traffic stop? aka: you get that ticket.
peoples cars, homes have been damaged by, democrats? as the owners had a pro republican sign posted.

this is brought to you by political correctness.

no i just loved how the guy can not have a rifle in his truck, so he has a crossbow. all legal and within the laws.
just sad rifles are deemed so bad these days.
