    Bolt action AR

So with the new AW laws and what not, I found this http://pof-usa.com/shop/complete-upp...-revolt-upper/. So I have a couple questions about this.

    1) Can I keep all of my evil features AND have a standard mag release?

    2) Since it's bolt action, that means the new AW laws don't apply and no need to convert to featureless or register?

Yup. It's no longer semi auto. Could be wrong tho. These laws confuse the hell out of me.

That's why I asked. With the current flow chart, it would be ok to keep everything and some.

If stopped by an LEO, would they understand the conversion, or would he/she arrest you, confiscate your property and then leave you to the court system? I don't think it's be worth the risk...

Why not just buy a bolt action rifle for 1/3 the price?

As an alternative, take a look at the 5.56 Mossberg Flex. The collapsible stock and grip are AR-like and it uses AR mags. Allot less that $1309.99

Or a cheap upper and weld/plug the gas hole on barrel if you must have AR ergos.

I'd personally rather have a pump-action AR if I was going to go non auto-loader route.

Bolt actions aren't affected by the AW laws, just like Rimfire.

Folding stock, standard mag release is still ok. Just needs to follow law about 16" barrel and overall length.

I want a Troy PAR (pump action rifle). Good reviews on that thing. Can shoot it fast too. Instead of gas operated, you manually rack the bolt like a shotgun. There was one for sale here, and it was cheaper then that POF upper posted at like $750 for the whole rifle.

The POF Revolt is more of a FU statement to CA. It is hard to say how the new laws will be implemented or if there will be any investigations into the status of receivers and semiautomatic rifles that were registered starting in 2014, but conversions to bolt action and rimfire rifles is sure to frustrate the 'tards in Sacramento.

I don't worry about any drama with LE regarding a bolt action or rimfire AR. I see a potential adverse encounter as an opportunity to make a point about the absurdity of the new laws, as well as slap a few people around in the process. False arrest and the confiscation of legal firearms could be very painful for the offending parties.

POF uppers can be had cheaper if you wait for one of their occasional sales.

I know I can buy a bolt action for cheaper but this is literally a slap to the face of those in Sacramento that's why I like it. Plus it saves space for another rifle & no DROS
