    Any NoCal ranges that rent?

I'm heading to the Bay Area for a few days and would love to take a friend's young son shooting. Richmond I'm familiar with but their hours don't work with our schedule. Here in LA there is an indoor range two blocks from my place that rents just about any type of handgun you could want to try. Anything like that up north?

    Thanks

Well, the only one I'm familiar with is Target Masters in Milpitas, they have a small selection of Springfield 1911's, XD, Glocks, revolovers, and not much else. Most people just rent their Glocks, which I personally don't like as they kick like mules and can't hit the paper target. Maybe bring your own guns? I think Jackson Arms in SSF rents guns too, but I never been there.

Bullsye in San Rafael. I shoot there, and I highly reccomend them. They have a indoor range, and they rent. I would call ahead, though. They can be very busy at times.

+1 for Bullseye - a good selection of guns and a good crew.

I have more than just a 'small' selection of glocks, I have damn near every model glock up there minus a handful. There are a lot more, and by having over 100 pistols up on the rental rack is by no means a small selection.

I rent guns with ammo and free instruction, but only if you're a FINE young woman.

One more for Bullseye. They are just over the bridge from Richmond. Haven't really paid that much attention to their rentals but they have to be the friendliest shop I've been to in the Bay Area.

The only other place I've been to that rents is Guns & Fishing in Vacaville though I wouldn't recommend them unless you were already in Vacaville.

As long as there are two or more people Jackson Arms will rent.

Unless you bring your own firearm, pretty much all places require 2 or more people to rent that I've seen. (In the Bay Area, that is.)

                            Went to Target Masters

Thanks for the recs. I ended up taking my young friend to Target Masters. Brought my own .38 revolver and Nighthawk .45 but also rented a great little S&W .22lr revolver. What a sweet gun and a great one for someone's first shot. Wish I could buy one in CA but I don't think they're on the list anymore.

I would recommend Target Masters. No ammo restrictions but also no rapid fire, even if two controlled shots (I DON'T double tap!)...unless you're a cop, which seems odd since every LEO I know would get his clock cleaned at my local IPSC match. But I digress...

Very nice selection of firearms for sale, good selection to rent, nice range. I was there during their 1/2 price 'happy hour'. Great value for money.
