    Son's first range day!

Going to end the summer on a high note for my son. He starts second grade tomorrow, but today he will be making his first trip to the shooting range. I've been looking forward to this all summer.

Hopefully nobody's there. Maybe some ice cream afterwards?

Took my boys to the range when they were young and loved it. They are now 25 & 29 and still talk about much fun they had on those trips.

Agree on stressing safety and fun!

This is his reward for following all the safety rules with his BB gun over the summer. He did awesome.

Finally got around to uploading the photos. He did better than I could have ever hoped for!

That's his work at 50 yards with the CZ 455 Military Trainer in .17 HMR with CCI A17.

                Fun stuff!

Be careful, he's going to be a teenager in about 3 minutes...time flies. Enjoy the time!

                    Way to go dad.
Now have the talk with him about dad's guns and shooting.
No talking to friends at school or at the doctor's office about
our hobby and what we have at home.
I drilled this into my son at a young age that this was our
secret and explained people talk, and they talk to others.
When he was in HS he asked if he could tell a close friend that we
were pro 2A and asked if we could take him with us to the range.

That's awesome,I started my boys on pellet guns when they were young, then progressed to firearms, now they're adults and avidly 2a and have more guns than me
BTW, is that green grass on your range?

Dang G Man, I knew there was some cultural differences in our state regarding firearms, but I never thought it would be so bad as to keep your guns and love for freedom a secret. All my friends shoot, I have NRA stickers on my car and just about 1/10 do just driving around.

I'd never dream of not letting him share the good clean fun of marksmanship with his friends. I woder how long it will last with so many bay area people moving out here.

Yeah, beyond that wall is the trap range and those fancy guys like a classy look to their high society shooting sport. So they water the grass there and some of it comes in green on the other side.
