That's what bothers me personally. Everywhere I look it's damn mountains and forest, but there is nowhere to shoot or hunt without driving 3+ hours or paying large sums of money to hunt on a tiny ranch with fenced in and planted animals. Either someone owns it, or it's been turned into a park, and every time someone donates land to the state the hippies push for it to become a park and not BLM or National Forest land. Look at BLM land especially, it's the stuff that no one wanted.

Do you have any suggestions for the L.A. area? I'm all ears, getting pretty tired of massive crowds at Angeles. Toying with the idea of joining Ojai, but Angeles is pretty convenient for a quick shoot (relatively, still 20-25 min drive for me).

The more the merrier. Hope new gun owner can help spread the words that guns don't kill people. Irresponsible people do.

The problem has never been to get people shooting. The problem has and STILL is getting them to back the 2nd Amendment.

Not a single person in the crowd is rational or reachable because the parade's for gay folks and it's in SF.

Nice thing about living in a gun-friendly valley away from the Urban Coast: There are 5 very nice 100yd or longer ranges plus pistol bays only 3 miles down the road. Busy but never crowded. Membership: $25-$50 per year depending on which of the 5 local gun clubs you sign up for.
