Just an observation.

July 18: Martin Retting in Culver City has the Aero Precision AC15 .223 rifles selling for $699. Sold out within two days.

July 29: Martin Retting re-stocked with the identical Aero Precision AC15 .223 rifles from 11 days ago. Now selling for $759-799 depending on configuration.

Good chance they'll sell out quickly, re-fresh the inventory in two weeks with another bump in price.

Rinse and Repeat until late December.

Probably, and even if it didn't, supply and demand. When the first panic happened, I was working at a gun shop. When our entire stock of semi auto rifles sold over the course of a single weekend, we raised prices on everything we had in stock. Something like 20-40%. Guess what? People still paid it. That's how business works.

Do you seriously expect otherwise? After sandyhook basic rifles like S&W M&P sports were selling for damn near double in some areas and stores couldn't keep them in stock. Anyone who hasn't already stocked up since prices dropped back down and panicking now is just silly, because they should have known better. As for the shops increasing prices, they'd be dumb not to.

Many times retailers will lower the price of an item if it isn't moving. The reverse is also true. Why anyone has waited this long to buy an AR is beyond me.

Martin Retting never had good pricing anyways. Look elsewhere. Turners has a few model ARs for around $600 give or take a few $s and they are constantly on sale if you look at their ads.

May not be the brand mentioned here. I am not Brand picky, Mil Spec is Mil Spec regardless of the kitchen it comes out of.
