Reputable gunsmith San Gabriel valley

Hello guys. I'm new to calguns and guns in general. I am looking for a reputable gun smith in the San Gabriel valley to install night sights on my shield. Thanks in advance. This is an awesome community of gun owners.

It usually doesn't take a master gunsmith to swap sights on a pistol.

Anyone with a padded vise and non-marring punches could do it, but those Shield sights are on TIGHT.

It's like they used a hydraulic press to put them in.

There's also Mount Star in Montebello (borderline with Pico Rivera on Whittier Blvd) - mountstarinc.com... Jose there installed front sights on my Kimber for around $40 in 1-2 days if I remember correctly

Bain and Davis---been around for a hundred years---or so...

Do not go to Bain and Davis. They suck. Took them THREE WEEKS for them to install sights and it was done wrong. And they did not return the original sights that were on my brand new guns.

Just buy MGW tools and do it on your own.

I agree on no Bain and Davis. Quality of work is no longer the same. Stay away.

I had a friend recommend Bain and Davis since it's close to me. Attempted to buy a handgun but service was no good, I ended up getting better service at Turners in Pasadena. No idea about their gunsmithing though. But for the topic on hand, I recommend what Madok said and buy your own tool, I did it and it was easy to use.
