      When buying firearms online...

      1. The firearm must be CA legal or made CA legal prior to being shipped to CA.
CA legal meaning it can not be considered an assault weapon, DD, MG, NS, SBR, or SBS under CA laws.

      2. If the firearm is a handgun, then the handgun must be listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale or be exempt from it (LEO sale, C&R, OTP, SAE, SSE2).

      3. The CA FFL dealer can legally charge any amount of money to process the transfer.

      4. You must have valid identification and proof of residence (if the firearm is a handgun) and have a valid FSC or exemption to the FSC.

      5. An ATF 4473 and CA DROS must be done as part of the transfer procedure.

      6. The 10 day waiting period applies and if the firearm is a handgun, the 1 in 30 day wait applies.

      7. CA BOE requires CA FFL dealers to collect a CA use tax on all firearms purchased outside of CA and transferred through a CA FFL dealer.

If you were an AZ resident and ordering a firearm online...

          1. The AZ FFL dealer can legally charge any amount of money to facilitate the transfer.

          2. You must have valid identification (AZ DL/ID).

          3. An ATF 4473 and a NICS must be done as part of the transfer procedure.
