    What constitutes a fixed stock?

Considering turning my adjustable stock to a fixed.

Does it still count as fixed if I drill and tap a hole through the stock and into the tube (stock tube, not the buffer tube)? Or would I have to use a roll pin?

    Thanks.
    Sorry, not sorry.

It's all about if it can be readily made into an adjustable stock. No way to tap just the stock and not the tube in my opinion. Even with a set screw it wouldn't give sufficient hold in my thoughts.

Pretty sure you can use a hose clamp covered with electrical tape if you want a simple solution.

That's genius right there. Even better than the PVC insert in a Magpul stock.

My thought was to drill a hole in the plastic part, and a tapped hole into the tube and then insert an allen/hex headless flat screw into it.

Yeah a set screw would work nicely

the DOJ will not rule on any product submitted... so it is all about-

How do you not get arrested.... if that fails

How do you get the DA not to file charges

That is the sad and serious answer....

Like this, but only part way thru the tube part, and an allen as shown in the above post.

Would still require a tool to change it back, if that makes a difference. Go to 2:35 in.

As long as it needs a tool to adjust, it is good to go.

Bushmaster just removes the guts, taps the shaft hole in the lever and stock and runs an allen head screw through it to engage one of the stops in the buffer tube. Lever wont move, stock is pinned. The lever is only there for cosmetics, you could leave it off.
