Thinking of heading down there on Monday, instead of chabot. Anybody know how much their rules differ from Chabot's? I'd hate to drive down there and have my day ruined by rules I'm not aware of, i.e. not being able to shoot FMJ ammo, no steel core ammo, no evil looking semi auto rifles.............you get the idea.

Yeah I go out there quite a bit. Not sure what the rules are at Chabot, Ive never been there, but i would imagine its your basic everyday rules. Only paper targets, no rapid fire, no tracers. The last time I went they did have a stapler and some targets. I asked the range master about what can be used out there and he told me they don't care what your shooting as long as its one round at a time and your being safe. They don't ask any questions. He did warn me that they have law enforcement up there quite a bit practicing so I would probably not want to be using anything illegal. The range does go out to 300 yards though which can be fun if your up for it. It does tend to get windy out there being so close to the coast, but with the weather we have had lately its awesome. Oh yeah if I remember correctly they close at 5Escaped from California 8-28-2007. Now breathing the free air of Idaho.Comment
