At lunch today I was pondering all this unrest with the anti-LE protesters.
It occurred to me that they are protesting what they consider "rogue" government agencies (Law Enforcement in General) and how "powerless" they are to fight against perceived injustice, how LE is "out of control" and "murdering" citizens at alarming rates (their impressions, not mine).
I was also thinking back to the many threads on various sites where Second Amendment supporters (myself included) have discussed the protections in the Second Amendment that allow the people to protect themselves against a "rogue" Government.
What am I missing here? Are they not making the case for the Second Amendment protections in their own statements and actions? Are they not protesting a government gone "rogue" in their opinion?
When mentioning the need to provide the people a means to fight against a such a situation with government, I and others are called "paranoid, delusional, mentally ill and even retarded (I was actually called that).
Wonder what others think of this line of thinking. Could it be used to our advantage when discussing the need to protect the Second Amendment?
Thoughts?
